Heart Rate Variability, HRV (Heart- nerve and stress analysis)

The brain controls various body functions such as digestion, respiration etc. through the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system is divided into the parasympathetic and the sympathetic nervous system. Parasympathetic nervous system decreases heart rate, while the sympathetic increases heart rate.

HRV is a technique to examine the stimulation from the parasympathetic- and the sympathetic nervous system. This method gives a good idea of the fitness of the heart and circulation.

In case of illness, HRV provides valuable information about your medical status and contributes to the design of an individual treatment plan.

HRV is used in many hospitals in Europe, the United States and Australia.  The method is listed on several medical courses in UK and Germany.
